KNOTs access consumers who have completed an exhaustive questionnaire, providing us with 1,200 personal attributes. This enables us to generate an accurate profile, which is used to provide highly accurate statistical reports for our customers. Details are updated regularly to further ensure accuracy, and any respondent whose details remain unchanged for 24 months is automatically removed from our access database.

All respondents are assured of the confidentiality of their data, and rewarded with gift certificates for the world's largest department stores. In order to guarantee the physical existence of consumers, certificates are sent by post to their home address.
